Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to manage steel track erection and onsite project improvements

Summary of the position

The Traveling Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of steel erection and capital expense projects at various Andretti Indoor Karting and Games locations. Their primary role will be to ensure the efficient coordination of resources, monitor progress, and maintain a safe working environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of steel erection techniques, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Some of the overall responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of go-kart track steel erection projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution, while adhering to project specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Lead and supervise a team of vendors who are contracted to erect the structure and ensure work is completed according to project requirements.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential issues or delays and implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Relocate to various construction sites across the United States, verify compliance with safety regulations, and provide guidance to field personnel.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other vendors to ensure effective communication and seamless project coordination.
  • Provide accurate and timely project updates, including progress reports, schedules to the management team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures, implementing best practices to enhance project efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction supervision, preferably with a focus on steel erection projects.
  • Strong knowledge of steel erection techniques, processes, and equipment.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction project management principles, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at various project locations.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • At least 18 years of age

Great to have Qualifications:

  • Software experience with Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or safety (e.g., OSHA 30) are a plus.
